Businesses must back national voting law
Re “New Georgia law changes voting rules and maybe results” (March 29): Some are calling for boycotts of big Georgia corporations. The official messages coming from the big Georgia corporations (Coca Cola and especially Delta) were initially just wishy-washy on what their positions were regarding the new Georgia (voter suppression) laws.
Now they must get some courage and clearly support HR1, as the best bet to finally make voting uniform for all national federal office elections, in every state. Surely, if this becomes law throughout the U.S., then the individual states will either hand out separate ballots for their state and local offices, or they will fall in line with the U.S. uniform voting requirements of HR1 (better). Firms like Delta, Home Depot and Coca Cola should be first in line to support HR1 and clearly say so.
Biden and progressives are the ones promoting voter suppression in Georgia Print this article
Voter suppression is the topic of the day in Georgia after the state passed a new voting law. And there is a group of people supporting voter suppression in Georgia: It’s President Joe Biden and the left-wing activists demanding boycotts of the state.
According to a
Washington Postfact check of Biden’s claims about the law, “experts say the net effect was to expand the opportunities to vote for most Georgians, not limit them.” The changes added an additional mandatory Saturday of early voting, permits counties to hold early voting on Sundays, and gives them the option of setting longer voting hours.
