‘I Never Expected to Get to This Point’: Man Told He Had Just Weeks to Live Beats Cancer After being told he had just weeks to live, a 39-year-old man battling stage 4 bowel cancer has beaten his diagnosis. Moved to let others know that cancer need not be a death sentence, he claims that a positive mental attitude was the key to his recovery. “I never expected to get to this point and to be fair, it is only through seeing the experiences of others that I realized it was possible,” Danny de Brabander, of Claughton in Wirral, North West England, told the Liverpool Echo.

Danny de Brabander, 39, has fought for his life over the past two years, from cancer, a heart attack and sepsis. It was back in 2018 that Danny, from Claughton, Wirral, began to suspect something was wrong, he said: I had started to feel unwell for about six to eight months before I took it seriously and went the doctor.

Wrexham and District Panto launch Alternative Panto to raise funds for the community

COVID will not stop a local company from putting on an amazing show in a bid to spread some joy. Every year Wrexham and District Panto Company put on a show during February half term with all profits going to local charities in and around Wrexham who desperately need support. This year more than ever charities need a bit of extra help in supporting people in the community. However, with the Covid-19 pandemic ongoing, a new and creative way to provide a panto was made. A fundraising page has also been launched with a target of £500 which will be distributed back into the community.
