COVID-fatigue is leading to a high rate of close contacts and rising local case counts, according to Grey Bruce’s medical officer of health.

Ontario reported 5,979 new COVID-19 cases and 22 more deaths over a two-day span on Monday, as admissions to intensive care units (ICU) continue to rise.
There were 3,041 new infections on Saturday, and 2,938 new cases on Sunday.
The province did not report its Saturday data on Sunday due to the Easter holiday.
Toronto had the highest number of new infections reported Monday with 906, while Peel Region reported 533 and 391 cases were in York Region. Outside the GTA, 230 cases were reported in Ottawa.
