Ontario will offer online learning for the next school year, Education Minister Stephen Lecce said Tuesday, though he offered no news about whether or not students might return to in-person classes this spring.
With millions of doses of the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines anticipated to arrive in Ontario, the province's vaccine task force says it can accelerate its timeline so that all adults will be able to register for a first dose by the end of May.

The federal government is considering sending extra people such as members of the Canadian Armed Forces, Canadian Red Cross and other groups to help at field hospitals at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre and Hamilton Health Sciences (HHS).
Stephen Warner, a spokesperson for Ontario s Solicitor General s office, said on Tuesday that the province has asked the federal government find more people to help Ontario deal with the surge of patients filling intensive care units (ICUs).
Ontario sees 3,510 new COVID-19 cases, 605 patients on ventilators
Ontario reported another 3,510 cases of COVID-19 on Monday, while the number of patients with the illness who need a ventilator to breathe topped 600.
