12-member team to go beyond present crisis, prepare road map for transparent budgeting with States
The Supreme Court has constituted a 12-member National Task Force to streamline and ensure the “effective and transparent” allocation of liquid medical oxygen on a “scientific, rational and equitable basis” to States and Union Territories fighting COVID-19.
The panel will provide inputs, based on members scientific and specialised knowledge, to meet others challenges to have been raised by the pandemic.
The Secretary of Ministry of Health and Family Welfare is among the 12 members while the Convenor of the National Task Force will be the Cabinet Secretary to the Centre.
Other members include leading doctors from Delhi hospitals, Vellore s Christian Medical College, Bengaluru s Narayana Healthcare and Mumbai s Fortis Hospital.

Washington, May 8 (IANS): A peer-reviewed research has claimed that global ivermectin use can end Covid-19 pandemic, as the medicine significantly reduces the risk of contracting the deadly respiratory disease when used regularly.
The common antiparasitic ivermectin is being touted as a miracle cure for Covid-19 by doctors and campaigners the world over.
Peer reviewed by medical experts that included three US government senior scientists and published in the American Journal of Therapeutics, the research is the most comprehensive review of the available data taken from clinical, in vitro, animal, and real-world studies.
