Updated: 10:49 PM EST Mar 9, 2021 The coroner released the name of the man who died at an Upstate hotel earlier this month. Richi H. Millner, 42, of Fountain Inn, died March 1 at the Woodspring Suites at 255 Frontage Road in Duncan, Coroner Rusty Clevenger said. Clevenger said Millner had multiple gunshot wounds when he was pronounced dead at the hotel. Lt. Kevin Bobo, with the Spartanburg County Sheriff s Office, said the shooting happened about 6:45 a.m. A couple was in a hotel room when the female’s ex-boyfriend, Richi Millner, forced his way into the room as the other man was attempting to exit the room, Bobo said late Tuesday night.According to Bobo, Millner then started assaulting the other man, and both he and the woman in the room were armed and defended themselves. David Anthony Leach, 32, of Aiken, died March 6 at the hospital Share Updated: 3:36 PM EST Mar 8, 2021 An inmate at an Upstate jail has died. The coroner said David Anthony Leach, 32, of Aiken, died March 6 at the hospital.Coroner Rusty Clevenger said the forensic exam did not show any evidence of external injuries. Clevenger said the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division is also investigating the death.
