CHAMBERS COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) â A concerned mother is speaking out after a hate message was found written on a wall at a Texas high school.
The mother, who asked not to be identified, said an image she shared shows graffiti with the words âBlack Lives Donât Matterâ spray-painted inside Barbers Hill High School just days after the presidential election.
Since then, she claims the atmosphere inside the school has deteriorated, impacting Black students.
âI want parents to know whatâs really going on in those hallways and what Barbers Hill is not doing to keep it from happening,â she said.

She said her son texted her the image just days after the election in November. For him to send me that, I just know it affected him. said the mother. I asked him, Did they talk to you? Did someone come to you? Did they talk to you about it? Did the counselor reach out to you to ask you how you felt about what you saw? He said, No. They just said they re going to remove it.
