Grosjean will drive the No.51 car for 13 road and street course events. He will not race the oval events, with the team due to announce who will drive the car for those races ‘in due course’.

Former Formula 1 driver Romain Grosjean will switch to IndyCar this season with Dale Coyne Racing, the Frenchman announced on Wednesday.
The 34-year-old, who left grand prix racing at the end of last year after losing his seat at the U.S.-owned Haas team, said will race only on street circuits and road races and not ovals.
Grosjean’s last F1 race ended in a fiery crash at last November’s Bahrain Grand Prix when his Haas penetrated a metal barrier, split in two and erupted in flames before he clambered to safety.
The IndyCar season is scheduled to start on April 18 with the Grand Prix of Alabama at Barber Motorsports Park in Birmingham.

Jan 27 (Reuters) - IndyCar team Dale Coyne Racing said on Wednesday they would love to have out of work Formula One driver Romain Grosjean in a seat this season and hoped to confirm their lineup next week.
After 10 seasons in Formula One, Grosjean was left without a spot on the grid when U.S.-owned outfit Haas decided not to renew the contracts of the experienced Frenchman and his Danish team mate Kevin Magnussen.
Grosjean had earlier expressed an interest in making a move to IndyCar and Coyne indicated the 34-year-old was on his radar. Obviously, Romain is a good driver, Coyne said during a conference call to announce Dubai-born Briton Ed Jones as one of the team s drivers for the coming season.
