Chadwick Boseman, perhaps most famous for his role as the Black Panther, was just one of the many influential people who died this year.
In a year defined by a devastating pandemic, the world many important activists, great athletes and entertainers who helped define their genres.
Many of them were internationally famous, like – RBG, Kobe, Maradona, Eddie Van Halen, Little Richard, Sean Connery – but Hong Kong lost its fair share of heroes too.

Happy new year! And welcome to our new world, where we watch everything on the telly. Or the phone. Or the tablet. Whatever. It all happens on screen. We can watch, we just canât go.
No people, just rock bands and ABC hosts putting it out and hoping we turn it on.
Itâs a tough challenge, as Thursday nightâs broadcast of Australiaâs masked New Year s Eve ball proved. It was a fitting end to the year. Lots of remote bang, no expense of your personal buck â but you had to be very excited by the night to be moved by the remoteness of three hours of performances without an audience and no clapping or cheering.

The month got off to a tragic start with the worlds of media and entertainment mourning the passing of two broadcasting greats
Following her sudden death at the age of 69, the nation remembered veteran RTÉ presenter Marian Finucane for her trailblazing feminist legacy and for being a formidable, wise, sensitive broadcaster .
Tributes also poured in for RTÉ radio legend Larry Gogan following his death, aged 85. President Michael D. Higgins said Gogan made an indelible impact on Irish music, having promoted both up-and-coming and more established Irish musicians and sharing his infectious enthusiasm and passion for pop and rock music of all kinds.

(AP) In a year defined by a devastating pandemic, the world lost iconic defenders of civil rights, great athletes and entertainers who helped define their genres.
Many of their names hold a prominent place in the collective consciousness RBG, Kobe, Maradona, Eddie Van Halen, Little Richard, Sean Connery, Alex Trebek but pandemic restrictions often limited the public’s ability to mourn their loss in a year that saw more than a million people die from the coronavirus.
