Nicola Sturgeon has announced all school kids in Scotland will go back to the classroom after the Easter holidays.
During her statement to MSPs at Holyrood the First Minister said lockdown across the country could be accelerated after cases continued to fall.
She said there was good evidence the national vaccination programme was already reducing the number of covid deaths across the country.
The SNP leader revealed the average number of virus cases being reported each day in Scotland had dropped to 657 - the lowest rate since October.
