Glasgow bus service terminated due to road not being gritted

A Glasgow City Council spokesman said: Carmunnock Road and other priority routes in the Castlemilk area were gritted on Thursday evening from 8pm onwards and then again from 1am onwards this morning. We are currently viewing Carmunnock Road on our traffic cameras and can see the road is running black, although drivers should still approach with caution.

It comes on the the sixth anniversary of the fatal crash in Glasgow city centre which caused the death of six people. Mr Clarke worked for First Bus before working for Glasgow City Council. No criminal prosecutions were ever brought. The action has been brought by the council against First Glasgow (No.1) Ltd. It is seeking a total £446,012 from the transport firm.
