The Afghan Political Parties Committee said Saturday it would present a separate peace plan at the Istanbul summit on the Afghan peace process, which is due to be held next week in Turkey.
The committee includes major Afghan political parties such as Gulbuddin Hekmatyar-led Hizb-e-Islami; Hizb-e-Wahdad Islami led by Former Vice President Mohammad Karimi Khalili; Hizb-e-Wahdad led by Mohammad Mohaqiq; Hizb-e-Jamiat Islami led by Salahuddin Rabbani; Junbish-i-Milli led by Marshal Abdul Rashid Dostum; Hezb-e-Mahaz-e-Mili Islami-e-Afghanistan led by Sayed Hamed Gailani, and Afghan Millat Party led by Anwar al-Haq Ahadi.
Mohammad Homayoun Jarir, a member of Hizb-e-Islami, stated that the parties, as government opposition, would share a joint plan for Afghan peace at the Istanbul conference.

11 Suspects Arrested over Bombings, Murder of Journalist
First Vice President Amrullah Saleh on Wednesday said that security forces have arrested an 11-member Taliban cell responsible for numerous bombings including murder of former Afghan journalist Yama Siawash.
“It all started with a tip from an informant and enabled Kabul police department to identify, locate and apprehend an 11 member Talib terror cell responsible for numerous bombings including murder of iconic Yama Siawash on Nov 7. Dozens of sticky bombs and IED found in their caches,” Saleh tweeted.
“We have invited media community, human rights organizations, civil society activists and advocacy groups to see the files, interview the terrorists and fulfill the wish of the grieving families,” he said.

Foreign Minister Haneef Atmar met with Ambassador Stefano Pontecorvo, NATO Senior Civilian Representative for Afghanistan on Wednesday, who assured the Afghan government of its continued cooperation and support for the peace process and in the fight against terrorism.
Atmar expressed gratitude for NATO’s support and welcomed the decisions taken at recent meetings of NATO Foreign and Defense Ministers on Afghanistan and stressed the need for further cooperation and coordination between the two entities, a statement issued by the ministry read.
Referring to the upcoming Afghan Peace Talks in Turkey, both sides stressed the importance of cooperation and joint efforts between Afghanistan and international partners, including NATO.
