Govt Institutions Provide Conflicting Reports on Kabul Attack Government institutions are providing conflicting information about the investigation into the attack on Central Bank employees that killed three people, including former TOLOnews presenter Yama Siawash, on November 7.    Waheed Omer, presidential adviser and head of the Office of Public and Strategic Affairs of the President, on Sunday said that a lot of progress has been made in the probe, but First Vice President Amrullah Saleh last week said that only a limited amount of clues had been found so far.   “A lot of progress has been made in this respect, but the demand of our security agencies has been to keep the details until their progress is finalized because it might affect the probe,” Omer said.

Murtazawi said on Twitter that Shia Afghans must not be afraid. He said: “Taliban and Daesh are enemies of humanity and Afghanistan, we should not provoke fear among Shias in our reporting, our method of informing should be professional, and we should not help our enemies in their mental war.”

Kabul: 8 Killed in Targeted Killings in 10 Days Amid a wave of targeted killings in the Afghan capital Kabul, an officer from the 111th Capital Division of the Afghan National Army (ANA) was gunned down on Wednesday near his base in Pul-e-Charkhi area which is located east of Kabul.   The officer was on his way home from the mosque.  Also on Wednesday, unknown armed men shot and killed a retired colonel in PD5 of Kabul.   Statistics show that at least 8 people have been killed in targeted acts of violence in the capital over the past ten days.   According to the Ministry of Interior, 22 military officers have been killed in the country in targeted acts of killing over the past one month. Of the figure, 8 incidents have occurred in Kabul in the past ten days.
