Danville Police Department gives away more than 1,000 toys to community

The Danville Police Department s Green Street precinct was full of holiday spirit on Friday as members of the police department gave away toys to area children.  Thanks to a generous donation by the First Responders Children s Foundation, the department was able to provide 1,077 toys to be given away to children in the community.  Due to COVID-19 restrictions, children and parents arrived at a designated times throughout the day on Friday. Children were given one minute to explore options, point out a toy and have an officer give it to them. Each child was also given a goodie bag to take home.
