7th Multinational Maritime Exercise “AMAN-21” Culminates February 16, 2021 KARACHI, Pakistan: Pakistan Navy’s Multinational Maritime Exercise AMAN-21 culminated in the North Arabian Sea on Tuesday with a graceful conduct of International Fleet Review (IFR) followed by spectacular forming up of AMAN Formation comprising Pakistan Navy and foreign warships. President Islamic Republic of Pakistan Dr. Arif Alvi graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Upon arrival on board Pakistan Navy Ship MOAWIN, the Honorable President was received by Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Muhammad Amjad Khan Niazi. The Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Ali Haider Zaidi, the Federal Minister of Defence Production Zubaida Jalal, the Chief Minister Sindh Multan Ali Shah, the Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) General Nadeem Raza, the Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa and the Chief of the Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khan were also present on the occasion.

Pakistan Navy s Aman 2021 multinational maritime exercise concludes

The multinational maritime exercise organised by the Pakistan Navy in the Arabian Sea concluded on Tuesday with the commitment to make the seas safer. Pakistan President Dr Arif Alvi, who was the chief guest at the concluding ceremony of the exercise Aman-21, witnessed the International Fleet Review (IFR) featuring operational manoeuvres, drills and a fly past by the Pakistan Navy, Pakistan Air Force as well as participating foreign aircrafts. Forty five countries, including the US, Russia, China, and Turkey, participated in the exercise, which is hosted biennially by the Pakistan Navy since 2007. The event concluded with ships of the Pakistan Navy and participating countries forming the traditional Aman formation to signify unity and collective resolve , the Army said in a statement.

AMAN-2021 would promote regional cooperation [and] stability, greater interoperability, and a united resolve against terrorism and crimes in maritime domain, he said. Gen Raza, who was the chief guest at the AMAN-21’s counter terrorism drill held at PN Qasim on Sunday, highlighted that Pakistan was demonstrating its commitment to forge peaceful coexistence [and] shared global cooperation through the drill.
