Fire crews attacked with rocks, bricks and bottles during call-out

Updated Saturday, 24th April 2021, 1:28 pm It happened last night in Linlithgow when they attended a fire that had been deliberately set. The local station took to social media to highlight the appalling attack. In a tweet, the station reported: “Sadly, we came under attack last night by having bottles, bricks & rocks thrown at us as we tried to deal with a deliberately set.” It added: “This is not acceptable.” The fire crew also thanked Forth Valley Police who came to their assistance, and confirmed no crew members were harmed. It did not disclose the specific location or incident, adding: “No further info will be given.”

Scots urged not to travel to Loch Lomond amid parking concerns

People are being urged to avoid a Loch Lomond beauty spot popular with Glasgow day-trippers amid concerns that too many cars are parking in the area.  Forth Valley Police taking to Twitter warned that parking at Rowardennan on East Loch Lomond was beyond its capacity, with cars now partially blocking the road.  Indiscriminate parking at Rowardennan on East Loch Lomond.
