Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) welterweight titleholder Tyron Woodley is no longer under contract with the promotion, leaving his UFC future in doubt.
Woodley, who fought out his contract with a submission loss to Vicente Luque at UFC 260 this past March, is currently riding a four-fight losing streak. The former 170-pound champion hasn’t captured victory inside of the Octagon since a submission win over Darren Till at UFC 228 back in 2018. Related
Per a report by MMA Fighting, Woodley is officially a free agent and able to sign with any promotion he desires. Of course, “Chosen One” could always work out a new deal to stick around with UFC, but it is unknown at this time if the promotion wants to keep around an aging veteran coming off four-straight losses.

Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) welterweight champion Tyron Woodley is a longtime friend and training partner of retired 170-pound wrestler Ben Askren, who also competed for UFC, as well as Bellator MMA and ONE Championship.
“The Chosen One” made his way to the locker room of Jake Paul to watch the YouTube star get his hands wrapped and gloved for his “Funky” boxing match, and in true Woodley fashion, couldn’t seem to keep from getting himself into trouble. Related
In the video above, Woodley can be seen trading verbal jabs with Super Middleweight boxer J’Leon Love, a former Golden Gloves champion signed to Al Haymon. The artist formerly known as “T-Wood” also had a few words for Paul.
UFC odds: Robert Whittaker opens as sizable betting underdog for Israel Adesanya rematch

MMA Junkie, USA TODAY via Imagn Content Services, LLC
Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) middleweight champion Robert Whittaker has now captured three straight wins over Top 5 opponents and holds an 11-1 record in the 185-pound weight class dating all the way back to late 2014.
The bookies remain unimpressed.
Whittaker (23-5) opened as the +210 underdog against reigning middleweight champion Israel Adesanya, probably because the one loss charged to “The Reaper” coming by way of knockout was courtesy of “The Last Stylebender” at UFC 243 in Oct. 2019.
