Former Vice President Mike Pence is setting up an office in Arlington as he transitions from his time in the White House.
“Pence announced Wednesday that the Office of the Former Vice President will handle correspondence, scheduling requests, public statements and official activities for him and his wife, Karen,” the Associated Press reported. “The office is located in Arlington, across the Potomac River from Washington.”
Pence previously lived in Arlington, most recently in the East Falls Church neighborhood, and his daughters attended Yorktown High School. Pence sold the home on 28th Street N. for $725,000 in 2012. Before that public records suggest that Pence, during his time in Congress, lived in homes along Military Road and in the Arlington Ridge neighborhood.
Pence Announces Creation of Post-White House ‘Transition’ Office
Former Vice President Mike Pence has announced the opening of a new post-White House “transition” office in the Washington, D.C., area.
In a statement on Feb. 3, Pence said the office will manage the correspondence, scheduling requests, public statements, and official activities for him and his wife, Karen Pence.
“The vice president and Mrs. Pence look forward to continuing to elevate causes that are near and dear to their hearts and serving the American people when called upon,” the statement from the office reads.
Pence’s last public appearance was Jan. 20, the day of the presidential inauguration, when he attended President Joe Biden’s swearing-in ceremony. Former President Donald Trump didn’t attend the event and instead opted to deliver a speech to supporters before returning to his home in Mar-a-Lago, Florida.

Former Vice President Mike Pence is joining the Heritage Foundation, he and the conservative organization announced on Thursday.
Pence, the former governor of Indiana who became former President Donald Trump’s running mate in 2016 and served as his vice president for four years, will be a distinguished visiting fellow at the Heritage Foundation.
The news first was confirmed by sources familiar with the matter to Breitbart News, and subsequently confirmed by the former vice president and the Heritage Foundation.

Mike Pence to join Heritage Foundation as distinguished visiting fellow
Former Vice President Mike Pence is joining the Heritage Foundation as a distinguished visiting fellow, according to a press release from the conservative think tank.
In a tweet, Pence said the Heritage Foundation “is a flagship of the conservative movement and I am profoundly honored to join them as a distinguished visiting fellow to advance conservative policies that will benefit every American.”
In this role, Pence will “advise Heritage experts on public policy issues” and plans to deliver a series of speeches on policy issues as well as write a monthly column, the release said.

The move comes a day after the former vice president launched his transition office.
