NEW DELHI, Dec 21: Former Union Minister and senior Congress leader P Chidambaram has fired incotrovertible facts at Prime Minister Modi in retaliation of his charge that the Opposition is spreading lies.
In a series of tweets, he chose to comment upon the so-called lies and challenged Modi to respond. First is the Kisan Sanghrsh Committee, coordinating the farmers protest on Delhi borders for the past 25 days, that the farmers are selling paddy at Rs 900 per quintal, though the MSP (minimum support price is Rs 1,870 per quintal. Is that a lie.

New Delhi [India], December 21 (ANI): Former Union Minister and BJP MP KJ Alphons on Monday slammed Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan for allegedly lending support to extremists and radicals in the state.
He, however, agreed with Vijayan on Congress-led United Democratic Front (UDF) being overtaken by the Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) and said Congress is ready to do anything for a few votes.
Alphons alleged that IUML is running the Congress-led coalition and blamed Vijayan as well for siding with extremist radicals .

Former Union Minister and senior BJP leader Chaudhary Birender Singh came out in support of agitating farmers on Friday, holding a sit-in in Jhajjar and demanding resumption of dialogue with farmers.
The Hindu over phone, Mr. Singh said the
dharna was held under the aegis of Chhotu Ram Vichar Manch, expressing solidarity with the farmers, and several such demonstrations would be conducted at different district headquarters every day.

Senior Congress leaders have said it s premature to comment on the new book by late former President Pranab Mukherjee which presented a critical point of view for the party without reading it in full.
Former union minister M Veerappa Moily, who was part of the UPA government headed by Manmohan Singh, noted the book was yet to be released and one had to understand the context in which Pranab Mukherjee made the observations.
