Taliaferro was cut by the team in 2017 and briefly resurfaced in the CFL

Former Baltimore Ravens running back Lorenzo Taliaferro died suddenly Wednesday. Taliaferro died of a heart attack, a family member told
WBBF Fox 45 in Baltimore. He was 28 years old.
Taliaferro was a fourth-round draft pick of the Ravens in 2014, rushing for 339 yards and five touchdowns in three seasons with the team. He played 19 games with the Ravens. We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Lorenzo Taliaferro, Ravens head coach John Harbaugh said in a statement. Lorenzo was a kind, smart, respectful, and determined young man someone always committed to his teammates and well-liked by everyone in our organization. Lorenzo Taliaferro has died from a heart attack at the age of 28.
The York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office in Williamsburg, Virginia confirmed his passing in a tweet. He died Wednesday night after attempts to offer medical help were unsuccessful.

“Earlier today, December 16, 2020, at approximately 3:07 pm Deputies were dispatched to the 100 Block of Windsor Lane for a call of someone needing medical attention,” the post read. “Medics also arrived and transported the patient to a local hospital where he later passed away.”

Former Baltimore Ravens running back Lorenzo Taliaferro died Wednesday in his hometown of Williamsburg, Virginia, according to the York-Poquoson Sheriff s Office. He was 28.
Taliaferro was transported at 3:30 p.m. ET to Riverside Doctors Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. A family member told WBFF-TV Fox45 in Baltimore that Taliaferro died of a heart attack.
A fourth-round draft pick by Baltimore in 2014, Taliaferro ran for 339 yards and scored five touchdowns in 19 games for the Ravens from 2014 to 2016. He struggled to stay on the field, ending each of his three seasons on injured reserve.

Police said Taliaferro died at a local hospital.
Taliaferro was drafted by the Ravens in 2014 and played for them until 2017.
In a statement, head coach John Harbaugh called Taliaferro a kind, smart, respectful and determined young man.
