MUMBAI: Former Maharashtra home minister Anil Deshmukh’s demand that he be questioned through video-conferencing and details of the case be made available to him was turned down by the Enforcement Directorate on Tuesday, reports Vijay V Singh.
The ED is likely to summon him a third time after he failed to turn up on Tuesday. It is probing a money laundering case against the former minister.
On Tuesday, he sent a letter to ED through his advocate, in which he said that investigating officers can record his statement through video-conferencing. He said the case against him is politically motivated.
