Robert D. Krey
Robert D. Krey, age 91, died on Thursday, January 7, 2021 from complications due to COVID-19 in River Falls Wisconsin. Bob was born March 23, 1929 to Oscar L. Krey and Paula M. (Mueller) Krey in Sauk County, Wisconsin, and was baptized at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Leland, Wisconsin. He grew up on a farm in the Town of Reedsburg and attended East Narrows Prairie Rural School and St. Peter’s Lutheran School and Church where he was confirmed. He graduated from Reedsburg High School with the class of 1946. Bob attended Carroll College in Waukesha where he was a member of the touring choir, the marching band, and a charter member of the Waukesha Symphony Orchestra. In 1948, he graduated from the Reedsburg Sauk County Normal and later earned his Bachelor of Science in Education with a music minor at Wisconsin State College in Platteville. The SFUSD Board of Education has pushed back its proposed January date for “alternative names” due from the school sites until April 19th. President of the Board, Mark Sanchez, would like the full Board to review and discuss the list of schools in January, but not consider potential new names at that time. In a first of many, Prime Minister Narendra Modi would be attending the centenary celebrations of the Aligarh Muslim University, AMU as the Chief Guest. He would be attending the event on December 22 via video conferencing along with Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank. President Ram Nath Kovind is also expected to join other online centenary functions of the university.

Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) Vice-Chancellor Professor Tariq Mansoor requested people to keep the centenary programmes above politics just like Republic Day, Independence Day, Milad-un-Nabi and Gandhi Jayanti celebrations are kept above political differences.
