Ed Brennen As the Biden Administration continues to push the pace of COVID-19 vaccinations â with a new goal of having 200 million doses administered by the end of April â pharmaceutical companies Moderna, Pfizer and Johnson & Johnson are working around the clock to meet demand.
For those working on the vaccine production lines â like UMass Lowell alumni Christina Michel â17 and Brian Madigan â19 at Moderna â it is both exhausting and exhilarating.
âItâs very fast paced and the hours are long. But then I turn on the TV and see all the vaccines being distributed and families being reunited, and it really brings so much joy to my day,â says Michel, who earned a bachelorâs degree in biology from the Kennedy College of Sciences and is now a manufacturing associate at Modernaâs production facility in Norwood, Massachusetts.
My last comment on TEOT
It looks like The Daily Roundup comments have already been closed. That was fast!!!
This TEOT thing is only being kept alive by the media and UT sports sites. The committee did the best that they could, but it looks like the people who want to see it banned weren t going to accept their findings unless they aligned exactly with what they already thought [in many ways based on falsehoods and vague guilt by association arguments]. Five minutes of Google the other night led me to the likely melodic origins of The Levee Song or I ve Been Working on the Railroad and it was a piece of music that was written in homage to the peasant class in their struggle against the feudalists. Isn t there something good to be seen from that?

The University of Hong Kong will confer Honorary University Fellowships on four distinguished individuals, namely,
Mr George Joseph HO, Mr LO Sheung Yan, Dr Norman SZE Nung Chi, and Mr Henry WAI Wing Kun, in recognition of their contributions to the University and society. (Please click here for the photos of four Honorary University Fellows)
In light of the COVID-19 outbreak in 2020, the University initially decided to postpone the Honorary University Fellowships Presentation Ceremony originally scheduled for September of that year to late February 2021. Given the ongoing developments in the COVID-19 situation, the ceremony was not held in February as planned. Accordingly, the four distinguished individuals mentioned above will be honoured at a ceremony to be held at HKU in the Fall Semester of this year to receive the award together with the Honorary University Fellows of 2021, for which nominations are now being invited.
