The Police Command in Osun State said it arrested three suspected robbers who hijacked two articulated vehicles and robbed the occupants along Osu-Ile Ife expressway in Osun.
The State Commissioner of Police, Mr Olawale Olokode made this known in a statement on Sunday, NAN reports.
Olokode said that the suspects were arrested on Thursday at about 4.a.m by a patrol team of the Joint Task Force.
“On Jan. 14, at about 4 a.m, a suspected gang, fully armed with guns and other dangerous weapons, invaded Osu/Ile-Ife Expressway.
“They attacked innocent motorists and hijacked two different trucks at gun point.

Twenty four suspected oil bunkerers have been arrested by the anti patrol team of the Nigerian Navy in Ondo state.
The Commanding Officer of the Forward Operating Base, FOB of the Nigerian Navy in Igbokoda, Ondo State, Captain, Navy Shaibu Mohammed Ahmed said six boats loaded with over 100,000 litres of Automotive Gas Oil, popularly known as diesel along Ondo/Lagos coastal axis were also intercepted.
Parading the suspects and the intercepted boats, the Commanding Officer, Ahmed said six boats carrying illegally refined crude oil, were owned by bunkerers.

Men of the Forward Operating Base (FOB) of the Nigerian Navy in Igbokoda, Ondo State, have arrested 24 suspected oil thieves along the coastal axis of the Ilaje Local Government Area of the state.
The Commanding Officer, FOB, Navy Capt. Shuaibu Muhammed-Ahmed, who disclosed this to newsmen said the suspected oil thieves were arrested with over 100,000 litres of Automotive Gas Oil (AGO) known as diesel.
According to him, the men were arrested during a routine patrol by the Navy officers on the Ondo-Lagos open sea channel around 4pm on Wednesday, January 13, 2021.
Speaking while parading the suspects in Igbokoda, Muhammed-Ahmed explained the Navy men intercepted six boats loaded with over 100,000 litres of diesel along Ondo/Lagos coastal axis.
