Gurugram (Haryana) [India], Jan 12 (ANI): (ANI): Government-owned RITES Ltd said on Tuesday it has secured a work from National High Speed Rail Corporation Ltd.
The project will be for a period of six years and RITES fees will be Rs 67.79 crore, it said in a statement.
RITES is a mini-ratna category one schedule A public sector enterprise and a leading player in the transport consultancy and engineering sector in India, having diversified services and geographical reach.
The company has experience spanning 46 years with projects in over 55 countries including Asia, Africa, Latin America, South America and Middle East regions. (ANI)

Over three years after Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone of India s first 508-km Mumbai-Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail corridor, the work on the second such rail corridor in the country on the Delhi-Varanasi route has gained momentum.
An aerial LiDAR survey of the 800-km Delhi-Varanasi High-Speed Rail (DVHSR) corridor has now been undertaken by the Railways as part of the project to connect Modi s parliamentary constituency with the national capital through the bullet train.
On Sunday, the National High-Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL) launched the LiDAR survey for the Delhi-Varanasi route from Uttar Pradesh s Greater Noida, wherein a helicopter fitted with state-of-the-art aerial LiDAR and imagery sensors will capture data related to the ground survey along the proposed route.

Shiv Sena controlled Thane Municipal Corporationâs move to reject the transfer of land for the Rs 1.08 lakh crore bullet train project has surprised its estranged ally BJP. The ruling party in TMC has also rejected a proposal to accept compensation from the National High Speed Rail Corporation Ltd, in charge of the bullet train project, for the transfer of nearly 2000 hectare land. It has simply dumped the proposal in the cold storage and put the ball in the court of the BJP-led government at the Centre.

The delay on Maharashtra’s part may delay the project, whose completion deadline is 2023-end. The Maharashtra government has been asked to hand over the land required in Thane and Vikhroli “urgently” and the balance by April 30 next year, according to the minutes of the November 25 meeting.
