Maharashtra minister Aaditya Thackeray reviews MMRDA projects
Aaditya said the north-bound arm of the Kalanagar flyover will be completed soon
Mumbai: Days after Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray reviewed the pre-monsoon works in Mumbai and directed BrihanMumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) and other agencies for proper coordination, Tourism Minister and Mumbai Suburban District Guardian Minister Aaditya Thackeray on Tuesday held review of works of the MMRDA. Aaditya, who has recovered from the Covid-19 pandemic, took stock of the multiple projects being developed by MMRDA across Mumbai city especially in Mumbai suburban district.

As investors and end-users return to the market after the Covid-19 shock, three regions Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR), Bengaluru and Pune have emerged top lucrative markets for property investments, according to a report from property consultant ANAROCK.
It said these three cities remained the most active markets in 2020 – together accounting for a 67% share of the total housing sales (of approximately 1.38 lakh units) recorded in the top 7 cities, and 60% of all new launches of 1.28 lakh units.

The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) on Tuesday approved its ₹12,969.35 crore budget for 2021-22.
The budget, presented in the 150th meeting of the planning and executing authority for Mumbai Metropolitan Region, has made sizable provisions for metro projects, flyovers, Mumbai Tran-Harbour Link Project (MTHL), MUTP and MUIP, as well as metro staff housing.

MUMBAI: Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) has approved an outlay of Rs 12,969 crore, of which around 35 per cent has been allocated for various Metro projects , in the budget estimates prepared for the financial year 2021-22.
The budget estimate for 2020-21 was 15,819 crore but it was revised to Rs 9,851 crore as per actual expenditure.
MMRDA spokesperson said, “The budget was approved by MMRDA meeting under the chairpmanship of state urban development minister Eknath Shinde today. The budget makes special provisions for infrastructure projects like public transport and Metro railway. This will help reduce the traffic congestion in Mumbai and ensure that Mumbaikars have a comfortable and shorter commute.1”
