The Bombay High Court on Monday asked Advocate General Ashutosh Kumbhakoni, representing the Maharashtra government, to consider whether the Mumbai Suburban District Collector can withdraw an order transferring the 102-acre Kanjurmarg land to the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) and inform its decision to the court on Wednesday.

Mumbai: Shiv Sena MLA Pratap Sarnaik, who is being probed in a money laundering case, filed a breach of privilege motion against actor Kangana Ranaut on Monday, for her alleged tweet that the Enforcement Directorate (ED) had found a Pakistani credit card during its raids at his home. He has also made print, electronic and social media party to the motion for writing false stories based on Kanganaâs tweet.
In his motion submitted to State Assembly Speaker Nana Patole, Sarnaik urged him to refer it to the privileges committee and take necessary action.
MMRDA plans Rs 13-cr works on Western Express Highway to prevent landslide

The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) has proposed about Rs 13 crore mitigation and stabilisation work of Bandongari Hill (Kandivali) on the Western Express Highway (WEH) to prevent it from landslide accidents.
It has recently floated tender inviting interested agencies for carrying out the work in nine months which may extend to monsoon season as well. A pre-bid meeting has also been arranged on December 23 and agencies can submit applications between December 14, 2020 and January 1, 2021 till 6pm.

The Maharashtra government will slash construction premiums and levies by 50 per cent till December 31, 2021. The announcement, expected at the next cabinet meeting, is expected to give a boost to the real estate sector.
The state has already reduced stamp duty from 5 per cent to 2 per cent, which has led to an increase in property sales. Soon after the lockdown started, the government appointed a committee under HDFC chief
Deepak Parekh, which suggested cuts in stamp duty and premiums.
