Suspended Mumbai cop, Sachin Vaze who is accused in Mansukh Hiren death case and is currently under NIA custody, on Wednesday made an explosive claim accusing former Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh for demanding Rs 2 crore from him to continue his service in Mumbai police.
Vaze s counsel submitted a letter before the court today in which the suspended cop levelled corruption allegations against ex-Maharashtra minister Anil Deshmukh.
In his letter, Vaze has also claimed that NCP supremo Sharad Pawar didn t want him in the police department again.
However, his letter has not been accepted by the court as of now as it has asked Vaze to place it through the proper forum.

Mumbai Police Commissioner Hemant Nagrale on Wednesday submitted a report to Maharashtra Home Department about reinstatement of Sachin Vaze and his nine months tenure in Mumbai CIU, Crime Branch.
The report submitted by the Mumbai Police Commissioner states that Sachin Vaze was reappointed in a meeting attended by Param Bir Singh.
Despite an opposition of the then Joint CP Crime to Sachin Vaze s appointment, Param Bir Singh appointed Vaze, the report said.

New Delhi/Mumbai, April 7 : Two teams of Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) have arrived in Mumbai to probe the allegations of corruption and misuse of office by former Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh, sources said on Wednesday.
A CBI source related to probe in Delhi told IANS, A team of CBI officials arrived in Mumbai on Tuesday.
The source said that after the agency registered a preliminary enquiry (PE) on Tuesday night following the orders of the Bombay High Court, another team of the Anti-Corruption department of the premiere investigative agency left for Mumbai on Wednesday morning.

In a major development in the cases of corruption charges against former Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh, the Supreme Court will tomorrow hear the petition filed by Deshmukh challenging the Bombay High Court order directing for CBI s preliminary probe against him.
A day after the Bombay High Court ordered a preliminary probe by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) into the alleged corruption charges by former Mumbai Police Commissioner Param Bir Singh, the Maharashtra government and former Home Minister Anil Deshmukh filed separate petitions against the judgment in the Supreme Court.
