MEDFORD, Ore. Even as a drive-in vaccination clinic at the Jackson County Expo for Phase 1A and educators gets underway, public health officials in Jackson County reported seven more deaths attributed to coronavirus on Thursday.
These fatalities, which bring the local death toll to 92, include some that came from death certificates filed earlier this month a process that the Oregon Health Authority says has lagged behind cases that are already in the state system, and are routed back to the state only after being reported to the federal government.
Jackson County Public Health reports 56 new cases and 2 new deaths Saturday
Health officials also reported that 1 case was previously reported and has been removed from the total count. With these changes, the total in Jackson is now 6,865.

MEDFORD, Ore.- Jackson County Public Health reports 67 new COVID-19 cases. Additionally, a previously reported case has been removed from the COVID-19 total cases. These updates bring the total reported COVID-19 cases in Jackson County to 5,617. Jackson County Public Health reports one new COVID-19 death, bringing the total deaths to 66.
Jackson County’s 66th COVID-19 death is a 71-year-old woman who tested positive on November 26 and died on December 24 at Rogue Regional Medical Center. The patient had underlying conditions.
