ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 4th Feb, 2021 ):Prime Minister Imran Khan was on Thursday told that with 82,728 Roshan Digital Accounts opened so far in 97 countries of different continents by the overseas Pakistanis, an amount of $436 million had been remitted and paid under the facility.
He was further informed that as 600 to 700 accounts were being opened on daily basis, Pakistani expatriates were remitting around US $ 6 to 7 million per day.

PM Modi s posters raised at pro-independence rally in Sindh province of Pakistan
Posters and placards of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other world leaders were raised at a pro-freedom rally in Pakistan s Sindh province, news agency reported. The rally was organised in Sann town on Sunday on the occasion of 117th birth anniversary of Ghulam Murtaza Syed.Â
Participants of the rally raised pro-freedom slogans and displayed placards seeking the intervention of PM Modi and world leaders.Â
Besdies PM Modi, posters and placards of US President-elect Joe Biden, New Zealand PM Jacinda, France President Emmanuel Macron, British PM Boris Johnson and others were also raised by the participants. Protestors demanded their intervention for the freedom of Sindhudesh from Pakistan.Â

The Roshan Digital Account (RDA) initiative, which provides overseas Pakistanis with investment opportunities in areas like saving certificates, stock market and property, is expected to attract $1-1.5 billion over the next six months and build the country’s foreign currency reserves.
The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) reported that non-resident citizens deposited the largest amount of $7.7 million in a day on Wednesday in their RDA at banks operating in Pakistan. With this, their total deposits grew to $139.4 million in the past three months. Prime Minister Imran Khan had launched the initiative in September 2020. Over 50,000 overseas Pakistanis have so far opened the accounts in eight Shariah-compliant and conventional banks.
