MURRAY, Ky. According to a Facebook post from the Murray Police Department (MPD), a Wisconsin man has been arrested after a bomb threat and a false report of gunshots fired at Murray High School in Murray, Ky. were made.
Police responded to the high school on Jan. 25 after reports of shots fired, and again the next day after the bomb threat was made.

A Wisconsin teenager has been arrested after making false reports of shots fired and a bomb threat at Murray High School in Kentucky this week, according to the county police department.
Detectives in Racine, Wisconsin, executed a search warrant at the home of 19-year-old Kya Nelson on Friday morning, arrested him and charged him with one count of first-degree terroristic threatening and two counts of second-degree terroristic threatening, according to Sgt. Andrew Wiggins with the Murray Police Department.

MURRAY, Ky. (KFVS) - A Wisconsin teen was arrested in connection to false reports of threats to Murray High School.
The Murray Police Department held a news conference on Friday, January 29 at 10 a.m. in the high school library.
They say they served an arrest warrant Kya Nelson, 19, at his home in Racine, Wisconsin. He is in the Racine County Jail awaiting extradition to Kentucky.

The Murray Police Department reports a 19-year-old Wisconsin man is responsible for two days of threats against the city’s high school earlier this week. Rachel Collins (with member station WKMS) has more.
Nelson is charged with two counts of terroristic threatening, 2nd degree, related to the two phone calls about the active shooter, which are Class D felonies punishable by one to five years in a state penitentiary; and one count of terroristic threatening, 1st degree, for the bomb threat, which is a Class C felony punishable by five to 10 years in a state penitentiary. He’s being housed at the Racine County Jail, awaiting extradition.
