Parts of South Australia s south have received their first decent rain in months, a welcome dampener to a parched state despite it falling on a weekend.
Most of Saturday s rain has fallen about the Mt Lofty Ranges and Mid North although some has been recorded in each district and a few thunderstorms developed in the north, mainly on the Flinders Ranges.

Woolworths and Coles around NSW and Victoria will open at 1pm on Sunday, while stores in Tasmania open from 12.30pm.
Perth, Adelaide, and Brisbane supermarkets will not open at all, but some stores outside of the city centres will open from 12pm.
Australians hoping to occupy their time on Sunday by working on DIY projects will be able to head to Bunnings all day in NSW, Victoria, WA, SA and NT, and from lunch time in Tasmania and ACT.
Kmart will also be open from lunch time on Sunday in most states, and all day on Monday across the country

With Anzac Day falling on a Sunday, most of the country won t get a long weekend, but that doesn t mean retailers won t adjust their hours. In the ACT, South Australia, Western Australia and Queensland in particular all have Monday, April 26, as a public holiday. Some other regional areas, like the Cocos Keeling Islands and Christmas Island, will also get the Monday off.
