Hartford Yard Goats Make Official Return to Stadium After 2 Years
As baseball season begins in Connecticut, the state’s Double-A minor league team will return to its stadium for the first time since 2019, alongside two professional teams with home openers slated in late May.
The Hartford Yard Goats, a minor league affiliate of the Colorado Rockies, will make their first appearance in Dunkin Donuts Park today, May 11, followed by the New Britain Bees returning to New Britain Stadium on May 26, and the Norwich Sea Unicorns at Dodd Stadium on May 31. Tickets have been made available for the Yard Goats and the Bees on their respective websites with “details on 2021 ticket options” for the Sea Unicorns to be released “in the coming days.”

Tristan Beck’s first win of the season and a three-run fourth inning led the Richmond Flying Squirrels to a 4-2 victory over the Hartford Yard Goats Sunday afternoon at The Diamond.
Richmond (5-1) extended their winning streak to five games and won the series finale against Hartford (1-5).
Beck (1-1) collected his first Double-A win with 5.0 innings pitched, allowing two hits, two runs, two walks and two strikeouts.

The Richmond Flying Squirrels took both games of a doubleheader against the Hartford Yard Goats on Saturday at The Diamond, winning 2-0 and 9-5 to extend their winning streak to four games.

Richmond opened the scoring in the first inning. After
Heliot Ramos doubled and later pushed to third base on a groundout,
David Villar rocketed his second double of the season to score Ramos and gave the Flying Squirrels a 1-0 lead against Hartford starter Matt Dennis.
To kick off a new season and provide another way of developing a relationship with its community, the Hartford Yard Goats has partnered with St. Francis Hospital to provide newborn babies with Yard Goats’ onesies, the team and the hospital announced Monday morning.
