Four legion branches in the city and county will share $43,380 in federal funding, local MP Irek Kusmierczyk (L Windsor-Tecumseh) announced Tuesday.
Royal Canadian Legion branches 12, 255, 261 and 594 will each receive $10,845.

“As a proud member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 255, I have witnessed first-hand the tremendous difference Veterans organizations make in the lives of Veterans and the communities in which they reside,” Kusmierczyk said in a news release.
“This funding will assist Royal Canadian Legion branches in Windsor-Essex with operating costs so they can focus on providing essential services and support for Veterans and their families at a time when it is needed most.”
