Crossroads of Pella continued their many ways of helping others in 2020, and did so despite increased need due to COVID-19.
Director Jim Hibma says beyond their typical programs which includes Christmas programs, Senior Health Insurance Information Program, free counseling, and prevention programs, they answered the call of many struggling with finances or mental health during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
Hibma encourages anybody wanting to make a wide impact on Pella residents to consider a donation before the end of 2020, not only to support the various programs of Crossroads, but to help their own end-of-year tax situation.

Crossroads of Pella has been once again providing help to those in need in the month of December. Director Jim Hibma says they held their Christmas assistance programs with Adopt-a-Family and Toys for Tots both of which aim to brighten the holidays for local families and children. A total 123 kids from nine rural communities in Marion County received gifts. Additionally, Hibma says they’ve provided assistance to seniors trying to save on their prescriptions through the Senior Health Insurance Information Program.
