May 28, 2021 He informed the DDC members that a special thrust shall be laid on formulation of viable District Employment plan, District Drinking Water plan, District Health plan, District Sports activity plan and District Road Development plans as per the guidelines issued by the Finance Department. The DDC Chairperson urged all the DDC members and District officers to coordinate with each other in formulation of rational plans maintaining the sanctity of the 3-tier system of Panchayati Raj. He further asked the DDC members to personally supervise and monitor the pace and quality of the works to be undertaken during this financial year in their respective jurisdiction. He also laid special stress on the execution and completion of the work taken up under previous year plan.

375 FIRs registered, 476 persons booked during lockdown: SSP Excelsior Correspondent JAMMU, May 27: Three hundred seventy five FIRs have been registered and 476 persons were arrested till day in Jammu district in wake of second wave of COVID pandemic. This was disclosed by Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Jammu Chandan Kohli while interacting with the EXCELSIOR. “375 FIRs were registered and 476 persons were arrested since authorities imposed lockdown in Jammu district in wake of second wave of Coronavirus”, SSP said and also informed that 4635 people were challaned and fine to the tune of Rs 20,85,000 was recovered from the violators of the Corona Curfew. SSP added that the policemen standing on the ground are facilitating the movement of the health workers, people in need of health services and other essential purposes.
