Covid-19 restrictions being enhanced to contain pandemic in Kargil
Kargil has recorded 44 COVID-related deaths among the 2,680 positive cases since the outbreak of the pandemic.

KARGIL: Ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr festival, authorities in Kargil district of Ladakh decided to further enhance restrictions on the public to prevent the spread of COVID-19 pandemic, officials said on Tuesday.
The unanimous decision was taken at a joint meeting of various stakeholders including representatives of religious and political organizations here, they said.

Senior Superintendent of Police, Shalinder Singh and Tehsildar Reasi Munshi Ram accompanied the DC. He asked the shopkeepers to maintain social distancing norms and advised the public not to move in the town without face masks. The DC inquired about the enforcement of Covid guidelines including wearing of face masks, maintaining social distance and maintaining sanitation and hygiene in the Business establishments.
Charandeep Singh also said that there is late reporting of Covid +ve cases, so the government has decided to conduct house to house verification to check the health status of people. He further said that if Home isolation SoP is not followed properly, then those peoples will be brought to covid centres. He also said that around 14000 vaccination had done at Mahore.
