Main Tasks and Responsibilities:
· To assist the Constitutional Court Judges in planning, organising and coordinating activities within the Constitutional Court Chamber;
· To provide specialised legal, judicial and administrative support, in particular on constitutional referrals/challenges and human rights law, including the case law relating to the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR) and International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR);
· To coordinate the work of the office of the Constitutional Court Chamber and provide guidance to its legal support staff and interns;
· To provide extensive legal research, particularly on comparative constitutional law including the constitutional law of Kosovo, public international law, international criminal law and human rights law;
Reporting Line:
The position of Associate Legal Officer is located in the Registry’s Chambers Legal Support Unit, to be deployed as needed to the Judges’ Chambers. When deployed, the Associate Legal Officer reports to the Senior Legal Officer of the relevant Chamber.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities:
· To provide specialised legal and judicial administrative support to Judges through the Senior Legal Officer or other supervisor, as applicable;
· To conduct legal research, particularly on international criminal law, international humanitarian and criminal law, international administrative law and where applicable constitutional and human rights law;
· To prepare draft memoranda, decisions and judgments, in cooperation with the Senior Legal Officer or supervisor as applicable assigned to the cases, if any;

Jammu, March 11 (KNS): The Crime Branch Jammu has arrested a special secretary of Jammu and Kashmir home department, who has been retrospectively superannuated by the government, for forging and manipulating his date of borth in his service and official records.
In a statement to news agency KNS, a sprokesperson said that Crime Branch Jammu arrested Special Secretary (Legal) Home Department J&K, Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din Ganai son of Abdul Salam Ganai, a resident of Chadoora in district Budgam who has been retrospectively superannuated by the government as on 31 March, 2019.
He said that it has prima facie been established that Ghulam Mohi-Ud-Din Ganai forged and manipulated his own date of birth in his service/official records in connivance with others in order to take illegal monetary gains for himself and enjoy powers as Senior Legal Officer of the Union Territory.

JAMMU, Mar 10: The Crime Branch Jammu today arrested a retrospectively superannuated officer of Special Secretary rank, who had forged his own date of birth.
The accused, namely Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din Ganai, resident of Hanjura, Tehsil Chadoora, District-Budgam, was Special Secretary (Legal) Home Department and had been superannuated by the Government on March 3, 2021 with retrospective effect from March 31, 2019.
It has prima facie been established that Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din Ganai forged and manipulated his own date of birth in his service/official records in connivance with others in order to take illegal monetary gains for himself and enjoy powers as Senior Legal Officer of the Union Territory.
