City of Cedar Park names Michael Harmon police chief

Chief Michael Harmon will begin his new position on May 29 and says he is looking forward to his new role. I would like to thank the City of Cedar Park for their confidence in my leadership throughout the past 15 months, and especially through the Chief s selection process. I also want to thank my officers, command staff, and civilian personnel for their support and encouragement over the past years, Harmon said. Gary Tittle promoted to Richardson police chief
Tittle has been with the department since 2018 and will replace Chief Jim Spivey who will retire at the end of the month.

Richardson’s next police chief has been selected from among the department’s ranks. Assistant Chief of Police Operations Bureau Gary Tittle has been named the next chief of the Richardson Police Department, Richardson city manager Dan Johnson announced last week.
Tittle has 33 years of experience in law enforcement and will assume his new role beginning June 1 after the retirement of current Richardson Police Chief Jim Spivey. Spivey previously announced he is retiring at the end of this month, the 50th anniversary of his career in law enforcement.
The final four candidates for New Braunfelsâ next police chief took time out from interviews with city staffers to speak with those they hope to serve â regular citizens.
Mark Schauer, Keith Lane, Rich Guajardo and Troy Gay, all vying to be top cop in the city, received a warm welcome during a Tuesday evening reception at City Hall. All have final interviews Wednesday with City Manager Robert Camareno and assistant city managers.
âWe welcome all of them to our community, and itâs a wonderful community,â Camareno said to the quartet of men hoping to succeed Tom Wibert, who retired Oct. 2 after leading the New Braunfels Police Department for a decade.
