North Iowa Expert Offers Warning Signs of Troubled Mental Health – KCHA News

markp1 day agoLast Updated: May 19, 2021 A north Iowa mental health expert advises watching for warning signs if a loved one or someone you know is struggling emotionally. Mitchell County Regional Health Center’s Sheila Kobliska specializes in the mental health of older adults as the hospital’s Program Director for Senior Life Solutions. She says many of the warning signs a senior is having mental health issues also apply to people of all ages. Kobliska adds other warning signs include changes in eating habits and loss of enjoyment of things one used to enjoy.  She says if someone is struggling with their mental health, remind them they are not alone and there is help available.

Senior Life Solutions open house is May 18

Intensive outpatient group therapy program is designed to meet the unique needs of senior adults 12:00 pm, May 12, 2021 × PIPESTONE Pipestone County Medical Center Senior Life Solutions will host an open house event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 18 at 916 Fourth Ave. S.W., Pipestone (on the second floor of the old hospital). Senior Life Solutions is an intensive outpatient group therapy program designed to meet the unique needs of senior adults living with symptoms of age-related depression or anxiety, dealing with difficult life transitions, a recent health diagnosis or the loss of a loved one. The open house will offer attendees the chance to meet the Senior Life Solutions team and learn more about the services it provides.

May is Mental Health Month
