click to download audioOn Saturday, Trigg County Hospital administrator John Sumner announced the hospital would be receiving 200 to 300 vaccine doses per week to distribute. He said the hospital will learn more details about the vaccine and what group can receive it sometime this week. Sumner says the hospital has not yet been declared a regional vaccination site by the state.
Senate Bill 9 or the ‘Born-Alive Infant Protection Act’ became law early Friday morning after Governor Andy Beshear’s window to sign or veto the bill expired.
The bill was sponsored by Third District State Senator Whitney Westerfield, who tells the News Edge, he was thrilled the bill passed, and they did not have to override Governor Beshear’s veto.
