THE seaside streets, sandy beaches and caravan parks of Rhyl will make a ‘trip of a lifetime’ for the tragic protagonist of a star-studded British rom-com this summer. Me, Myself & Di’ follows the misfortunes of English northerner Janet Brown, who wins a pub raffle prize of a free holiday to “Sunny Rhyl” where she aims to turn her luck around and find love by taking on an entirely new personality. She stays at the fictional Craven’s Holiday Camp, which locals may recognise as Lyons Robin Hood Holiday Park, and meets her holiday love interest – but not all goes to plan.
From Monday, venues can reopen providing they have an outdoor area at the premises. Diners will be able to meet in a group of up to six people from different households, while a maximum of two households can meet to form a group of any size. Sadly, not all of our favourites will be able to reopen, but many will be welcoming back customers for the first time since the third national lockdown was introduced in January. COLCHESTER town centre is set to change dramatically over the coming years. In part influenced by the Covid pandemic and the changing retail market, some big names are likely to be leaving the high street soon. But there are also more positive changes on their way, with huge investment on its way to the town centre. One part of the town is set to see more of this investment than most. The area around St Nicholas Square, in St Nicholas Street, is set to undergo a total revamp. The old co-op department store, in Long Wyre Street, is being totally transformed into a new retail, leisure and homes development, anchored by a new Loungers restaurant.
