Despite time off from the All-Star break and extra rest for Draymond Green, the Golden State Warriors were clobbered by the Clippers in Los Angeles Thursday night, as off-court antics distracted from the 26-point defeat at Staples Center.
While most of the NBA was on rest this past weekend for the 70th NBA All-Star game in Atlanta, Golden State’s Steph Curry was getting his work in, championing his second Three-Point Contest on his last shot attempt before scorching 12 of the NBA’s 24 best players for 28 points on 10-19 shooting in a win over Team Durant.

The 2021 NBA All-Star Weekend festivities were less than stellar. With the complications that come with COVID-19, the NBA moved the All-Star game, three-point contest, slam dunk contest, and skills challenge into one night. Big men shined in the Taco Bell Skills Challenge. The MTN Dew Three-Point Contest was highlighted with plenty of time for the stars involved to shine. The All-Star game returned to an Elam Ending ala The Tournament. Then the AT&T Slam Dunk contest was relegated to halftime of the game. Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry won the second three-point contest of his career at the 2021 All-Star 'Weekend'.
This year All-Star weekend all happened in one night, and Curry won the MTN DEW 3-point Contest in style before having a great All-Star game.
Curry is just the seventh person in NBA history to win the 3-point contest multiple times.
He tied
Craig Hodges who has eight.
Despite Curry being undoubtedly the best shooter in the competition, it was still interesting and competitive. Although he did make light work of the first round scoring 31.

Conley subbed in for an injured Devin Booker in both the Three-Point Contest as well as the All-Star Game. Conley ripped through the three-point competition, finding himself in the final round against notorious three-point shooter Stephen Curry. Conley was leading in the final round until Curry's last ball. The Warriors guard scorched the net to beat the Jazzman by one-point.
