Date Time CCTV released after McKinnon ram raid Detectives from the Moorabbin Crime Investigation Unit have released CCTV footage following a ram raid at a business in McKinnon on Monday. Investigators believe three unknown offenders attended a hardware store on McKinnon Road in a black Holden SUV about 5.30am on 3 May. The offenders attempted to gain entry to the front door by using an angle grinder and jemmy but were unsuccessful. They then got into their vehicle and used it to smash through the front entrance. Once inside, the trio stole cash and tools before returning to their vehicle. Police were quick on scene, but offenders collided with the police vehicle before driving away at speed.

House fire in Chelsea - Bayside News

House fire in Chelsea Emergency services were called to a property on Catherine Avenue just after 2pm on 28 February. The fire caused extensive damage to the house and neighbouring properties, however no one was injured. An unknown male was observed in the vicinity of the property just after the fire. He was wearing blue jeans, white runners, a dark coloured hooded top wrapped around his waist and a black t-shirt with Mickey Mouse on the front of it and large white writing on the back. Investigators have released images of a male they believe can assist with their enquiries. Date Time Elsternwick apartments burglary Detectives from Moorabbin Crime Investigation Unit are appealing for public assistance following a burglary in Elsternwick last month. Investigators have been told two men and a woman gained entry to an apartment building on Glen Huntly Road about 12.50am on 28 November. The group made their way through the building to the basement area where they forced open several storage cages. They stole various items including a computer, sporting equipment and suitcases. The group are perceived to be Caucasian in appearance with the two males aged between 20 to 30-years-old while the female is aged between 16 to 25-years old.
