The Pinehurst Police Department says there is no threat of any danger to the public or the person the department is searching for in the area around FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital.
In a Facebook post on the Village of Pinehurstâs page on Monday, the department said that Robert Conley Fowler Jr., walked away from treatment at the Moore Regional Hospital and fled to the area of Page Road.
âHe walked away from treatment and then ran away from police earlier when they came to the scene,â Pinehurst Police Chief Glenn Webb said. âWe are just trying to make sure heâs OK.â
Army veteran and retired firefighter Tony Trolio was more than happy to roll-up his sleeve on Tuesday as one of the first community members to receive the coronavirus vaccine as part of Operation FirstShot.

FirstHealth of the Carolinas and Pinehurst Medical Clinic began contacting a prioritized list of eligible patients aged 75 and older last week to schedule appointments. Weekly vaccine clinics are tentatively scheduled every Tuesday and Wednesday at the Fair Barn in Pinehurst through the summer; however, the number of doses available each week will be determined by the stateâs allocation process.
FirstHealth of the Carolinas has named three executives to its top ranks including an incoming chief operating officer and two longtime employees who have been promoted from interim roles.
Jonathan Davis, MPH, FACHE will be the new chief operating officer (COO) for the FirstHealth system. He is joined by Jeff Casey and Jenifir Bruno, M.D., as chief financial officer (CFO) and chief medical officer (CMO), respectively. Both have served in these positions on an interim basis since the summer.
