â The Green Bay Booyah started the season off on the wrong foot as they fell to the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders, 13-3.Â
It was a tough debut for starting pitcher Phil Healy. He was unable to find the command as he only went 0.2 innings, giving up six walks and allowing three runs. Juan Gonzalez was also shaky in relief as he gave up seven hits, seven earned runs with three walks.
Â
The Dock Spiders were able to score a run in every inning with the exception of the bottom of the eighth innings.

â The Green Bay Booyah will begin the Tristin Toorie era on Monday afternoon in Fond du Lac as the Northwoods League returns to a 72-game schedule this summer after a shortened season last year.
Â
Toorie, an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at Anderson University in South Carolina, was named manager on December 17, 2020, replacing Tom Carty. Toorieâs seven-year coaching career has included stops at Erskine College, Alcorn State, Eastern Kentucky and Presbyterian College. Joining Toorie from Anderson University on the Booyah coaching staff is Dylan Southerland. A former Coastal Plain League pitcher, Southerland spent two seasons as the pitching coach at a South Carolina high school. Southerland will be the bullpen coach and first base coach.

ASHWAUBENON, WI (WTAQ) You’ll hear a new voice at Capital Credit Union Park at Green Bay Booyah games this summer.
The Booyah held tryouts earlier this month for a new PA announcer after that position opened up during the offseason. Booyah spokesman Brian Kuklinski says the Public Address position is more important than most people think.
“The lifeblood of any one of our games is our PA guy,” said Kuklinski. “He’s the one who keeps the crowd entertained, gets them into it, gets to make some noise and gets the players pumped up.”

â The Green Bay Booyah are delighted to announce the return of Nadir Lewis from Princeton University and new signees Dayson Croes from Quincy University and Preston Hall and Nick Dagnello from the College of Charleston for the 2021 season.
âWeâre thrilled to welcome Nadir back and add the other guys to the stable of left-handed hitters we have assembled on the roster this season,â said Vice President and General Manager John Fanta. âWith 12 of our 16 position players batting from the left side, weâll try to take advantage of the Fenway Park-style âBlue Monsterâ that we have at Capital Credit Union Park to hopefully provide a little home field advantage.â
