Albany police seek partygoers who witnessed homicide

Police say at approximately 11 p.m., officers responded to a building on the 200 block of Central Avenue just west of Robin Street for reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, three women, ages 27, 32, and 37, were located at the scene with gunshot wounds and were transported to Albany Med.

Albany police are investigating a homicide that happened late Saturday night.
Police say at approximately 11 p.m., officers responded to a building on the 200 block of Central Avenue just west of Robin Street for reports of a shooting.
Upon arrival, three women, ages 27, 32, and 37, were located at the scene with gunshot wounds and were transported to Albany Med.
The 32-year-old victim, Shanita Thomas was pronounced dead at the hospital. The two other victims’ injuries are non-life threatening.
Shortly after the call, Albany Med staff notified police that two men, ages 30 and 33, entered the hospital with non-life threatening gunshot wounds. Through the investigation it was determined that both men were also shot during the Central Avenue incident.

Albany police are investigating a shooting that happened early Sunday morning.
Police say at approximately 2:30 a.m., a patrol officer witnessed commotion outside of a residence on Central Avenue near Lark Street and found a 46-year-old man that had sustained a gunshot wound to the leg.
The victim was transported to Albany Med for what appear to be non-life threatening injuries.
