On November 24, 2019, from the Hiroshima Peace Memorial, Pope Francis raised his cry for a world free at last of atomic weapons. Eleven months later, last October, the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons (TPNW) was ratified and now goes into force on Friday, January 22.
