John Lewis s Final Fight For Voting Rights

John Lewis’s Final Fight For Voting Rights Democrats big reform bill contains 300 pages expanding voting rights that were written by the late civil rights leader. Rep. John Lewis, who died last year, dedicated his life to expanding and protecting the right to vote. He was attacked for it. And he was elected, in part, to help preserve it. He ultimately helped write part of the bill that Democrats are now pushing to enact.

Ruling on DACA US immigration program undecided

The fate of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) US immigration program continues to hang in the balance after a federal judge decided not to immediately rule on the program’s future. The fate of the DACA program, which protects hundreds of thousands of immigrants brought to the US as children, is being closely watched.   US District Judge, Andrew Hanen, set lawyers an early April deadline for sides to provide more information. The state of Texas heads a coalition of Republican-led states that are urging Hanen to abolish the DACA US immigration program established by former US President, Barack Obama, in 2012.
