The cement and concrete will help build the road’s I-1 and I-2 sections. The ring road around Houston is the longest of its kind in the US. Cemex USA will provide a portable central mix plant for the project. Cemex UK launches Supaflo Rapide screed Written by Global Cement staff 04 March 2021 UK: Mexico-based Cemex subsidiary Cemex UK has announced the launch of Supaflo Rapide, a calcium sulphate binder-based screed for all domestic and commercial floor applications. The company said that the product achieved a moisture condition of below 75% relative humidity at between 10 and 15 days under controlled conditions. West Europe regional quality and product technology director Steve Crompton said, “Our technical expertise has enabled us to develop a new, more sustainable, premium quality screed that will help increase the efficiency of the job site, allow effective use of labour and improve the climate impact of projects. Cemex supplies cement and concrete to Teruel Airport Platform Written by Global Cement staff 27 January 2021 Spain: Mexico-based Cemex has supplied 30,000t of cement and 100,000m 3 of concrete for an expansion of Teruel Airport Platform (PLATA) maintenance, repair and operations airport in Teruel, Aragon. The company said that the expansion consists of a 3km runway, terminals, an expanded parking platform and two new hangars, in addition to an industrial zone and other facilities. The airport s current expansion phase requires a further 40,000m 3 of concrete.
